As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will work within our Electrical, Instrumentation & Process Control discipline. Within this department, we work on wonderful projects within the energy transition. In the role of Lead Electrical Engineer, you are the right hand of the department head and you can potentially grow into a Specialist, Project Manager or, for example, Department Head. The team in the Northeast region consists of approximately 35 people. You are mainly involved in designing and coordinating complex electrical designs. The projects in which you are active are almost always multidisciplinary and that requires collaboration with our other disciplines such as construction, process and mechanical engineering. Furthermore, the role consists of:

• Together with the project manager and the lead engineers of the other disciplines, you coordinate the project and you are the face of Bilfinger Engineering to our customers in the projects;
• Within the project team, you are responsible for the quality of the design of the electrical installation, including the budget available for this in combination with the agreed planning. Signaling changes to the scope is of course also part of this; You have a good overview of the various engineering phases in the project and proactively share this with your colleagues and customers;
• You manage one or more electrical engineers in your projects;
• You are able to trace the question behind the question, which allows you to determine the correct scope of the project and estimate the required hours;
• You have a clear picture of what the electrical installation should look like at the start of a project and you know how to communicate this clearly and distinctly to customers and colleagues;
• You also provide technical and project-based guidance to juniors (starters, interns) in the department;
• The electrical installations you work on can be clear low-voltage installations up to and including complex installations with large consumers of 20 MVA and a grid connection of 150 kV;
• In addition to the energy distribution systems, the electrical design often also consists of lighting, grounding and lightning protection, tracing, communication systems, etc.;
• You also monitor the technical descriptions and cost estimates;
• In addition, advising the client and chain partners is an important task;
• You will be given the freedom to work on challenging projects in various sectors in the industry. The ultimate goal is to achieve a desired result together with the client, for example reducing emissions or saving energy and safe installations;

• A completed education in Electrical Engineering or a related study;
• Approximately 10 years of relevant work experience in engineering within challenging and complex multidisciplinary projects within the industry;
• Knowledge of current electrical engineering concepts and unit prices;
• Successfully delivering projects within the set time and budget is one of your driving forces;
