The Smart Skills Program is a development program lasting approximately one year. The program focuses on the development of both smart and personal skills.
Why Professionalize Skills?
During the Smart Skills development program, knowledge, attitude, and skills are central. Keeping up with new technologies allows tech companies to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape. The training sessions take place at our permanent training location in Dalfsen.
The content is based on the profile of the future tech professional, developed by Tech Your Future, the center of expertise for Technology Education at Saxion University of Applied Sciences.

How is the development program structured?
In the world of Smart Industry, it’s important to follow new technologies, communicate well, and collaborate across different knowledge areas. You need to be flexible, think creatively, and understand your company’s core strengths to succeed. In Block 1, we cover the following topics:

To be successful, it’s important to align closely with your client’s core activities and utilize the business model canvas, flow charts, and value propositions. Understanding input-process-output, optimizing processes with lean methods, knowing tech professional profiles and relevant business models is essential. Additionally, understanding the impact of technology, digitalization, and automation on work is necessary.

Intake
We start with an introductory evening to provide more information about the development program. Following this, an intake interview is scheduled before the start of the program. During this interview, we discuss topics such as motivation, program structure, mutual expectations, and personal development perspective.
What will you do?
The Smart Skills development program consists of three blocks. After each block, there is a corresponding assignment. The final assessment involves a case study between you, the client, and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Upon successful completion, you will receive an accredited certificate from Yes Tech Careers and Saxion Knowledge Transfer AMA.
